Oh you lovely man. In my headached state I couldn't see how to
do that with Cubic. I really need to sit down and figure out the
(literal) ins and outs of all the various options on
SIP/VOIP/Cubic/MAXroam/TruPhone/Mobivox/Fring/Skype/Gizmo etc etc.
I get confustered between outgoing options and incoming ones and
what the routes are. I know it's easy but my brain is aged, my
sight is poor and my legs are old and bent.
When Pat and the boys tie all these strands together, it will
seriously rock! Too many options from too many providers right now.
A one-stop shop is deffo the way to go.
@conoro: ja thats my
point. i have 2 seperate SIP URIs when I can manage them on one
interface (I can at the moment sorta with Bluefaces Personal PBX
interface) with my mobile also, it'll be very very useful.
Someone should invent something like a Quantum signature like
gortron12345. Anyone could call, SMS, Fax, Video call, Page, Ping
it from any comunications device and the receiving device should be
able to tell em all apart. Someone get on that will you?
Quick n dirty temporary solution: €5 with Blueface to get an 076
number. Configured that in Fring on N95-8GB. Forwarding Vodafone
diverts to that. Should be just the usual forwarding charge?
Differences between using N95 built-in SIP, Fring, Truphone or
Gizmo just for that simple incoming setup? Not worried about
outgoing cos I never ring anyone. I might even answer the phone now
when people ring me ;-)

Looks like I have to create a new Truphone account and pretend I'm in the UK so they'll give me a Truphone number.

AH balls, Truphone sign-up is via SMS so they'll know I'm not in UK.

@conoro: i have done truphone sign-up before.
I use blueface, gizmo for most of my call stuff (I was using cubic-pat when ye get a client for symbian s60 i'll look again)
Blueface to any number except a) fixed line irish number, or b) SIP URI, or c) VoIP number will cost.
Mobile to a, b, or c above will also cost (and they will be bloody expensive).
Until the interconnect prices from mobiles go down, for the average joe, calls will always be expensive. Until MaxRoam, and Cubic save the day! :)
