Has any planning been done around OpenID providers going bust?

Great thought which is why the larger providers need to get on board. I am working with Plaxo to try and get them to be a OpenID provider. They have all of my contacts and all of them synch'd so they are my obvious choice.
It struck me when I was setting up a LouderVoice specific Twitterfeed so I needed to create a new OpenID. If I used one from a crowd that went bust then I'd have no way to ever logon to Twitterfeed again. So I took the conservative approach and used Verisign PIP. Would have preferred Plaxo too!
